Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. Erie County Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act defines that term. Information here, or from a linked search tool, may not be used for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other FCRA-regulated purpose.
Information May Change
Indexes are corrected, offices alter portals or fees, digitization adds material, and library collections can move. We aim to keep the reference useful, but no statement here is guaranteed complete or current. Verify a record with the office or institution that holds it before relying on it.
No Legal Advice
Nothing on Erie County Residents Directory is legal advice. The service points to custodians and describes common access paths. A page or linked record is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.
Lawful Personal Use
Public information must not be used to stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm another person. Misuse of personal information can violate New York and federal law and violates the Terms of Use. New York protections include stalking laws in Penal Law §120.45 et seq., harassment provisions in §§240.26 and 240.30, voter-list limits under Election Law §3-103(5), and record-specific privacy rules.
Third-Party Results
Search boxes may be operated by independent providers. We do not control their results, charges, data handling, availability, or accuracy. A third-party result is not an official Erie County, Buffalo, or New York records response and should be verified with the appropriate custodian.
Links Beyond This Service
Links can lead to property, Clerk, elections, court, library, archive, and other external resources. We do not endorse or warrant the content, reliability, access rule, or availability of an outside website.
No Official Records Stored Here
Erie County Residents Directory does not store a government roll, directory volume, court file, vital record, or certified copy. A record must be obtained, verified, corrected, or redacted through the public office, library, archive, or other custodian responsible for it.
