Not a Government Records Office. Erie County Residents Directory is a private reference. We cannot pull or certify records, confirm a person’s address, or change an official list. Contact the responsible custodian for those services. For an emergency, call 911. If records are being used to stalk or threaten you, contact local police.
Find The Right Record Office
Use the records page that matches the question, then contact the custodian when an online search is incomplete.
- Property or a named street: use the Erie County street directory and county parcel route.
- Older Buffalo household listings: use the Erie County city directory collections.
- One name needing a careful check: use the Erie County resident lookup workflow.
- County deeds, liens, court indexes, or genealogy holdings: contact the Erie County Clerk.
- Records not online: make a narrow request under New York’s Freedom of Information Law when that law applies.
